Protects life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrols
hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism. Secures,
unlocks and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of
hospital personnel, patients and visitors. Participates in performance
improvement activities. 32 hours per week.
3 years’ experience in law enforcement or Healthcare Armed Security
Enforcement Academy Firearm Certification
Completion of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic or Pre-Basic course
Job requires periods of standing and being on your feet along with the
ability to foot patrol hospital floors and grounds.
The applicant must be able to carry out duties with minimal supervision,
write reports, adhere to hospital policies and procedures, and have a
working knowledge of computer use. The job requires that the applicant
be able to legally carry a firearm and have an Indiana personal protection
permit for those who are not an active police officer.
