Dr. Jess T. Brower Receives Sports Medicine Designation
Daviess Community Hospital
May 11, 2016 (WASHINGTON, IN) – Dr. Jess Brower has obtained the
postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®
(CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™
(ACBSP™). The CCSP® certification requires the doctor to attend
a 120 hour postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical
fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports.
Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and
successfully pass a comprehensive written examination, and continue to
maintain proficiency through continuing education requirements.
This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic
injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP®
certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures
teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency
in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Brower joins over 5500 others internationally
who hold this designation.
Further, as an adjunct to the evolving multi-disciplinary sports medicine
practices at the CORE Center, Dr. Brower’s clinical assistant and
certified athletic trainer, Brandy Ramaj Jewett now sees patients in an
outpatient rehabilitation setting to serve those patients in need of further
coordinated care. As an athletic trainer, Brandy is nationally certified
and licensed by the state of Indiana to perform treatment and rehabilitation
of various injuries leading to disability and functional limitations.
Dr. Brower’s office is located at the DCH CORE Center, located at
421 E Van Trees, Washington, Indiana.
