What is a Recovery Coach?
A Recovery Coach creates a partnership with a person in recovery from addictions.
Coaches help people to:
• Create a vision for their recovery
• Identify and remove barriers to recovery
• Navigate through human services systems.
• Connect with treatment facilities, recovery services and full range
of peer support groups.
A coach can work with people who have active addictions, people who currently
in recovery, or people who are concerned about someone else’s use
of alcohol or drugs.
People who participate in the recovery coaching process must have a commitment
A Recovery Coach Does Not: Diagnose or treat addictions, Judge anyone,
Tell you what to do
All conversations are confidential.
