Serve up some fun for a great cause at the second annual Daviess Community Hospital Foundation Pickleball Tournament, honoring the legacy of longtime DCH physician Suresh Lohano, MD.

This three-day, round-robin tournament in Washington, Indiana gives players of all ages and skill levels the chance to compete, connect and support local health care through the DCH Foundation.

  • Ages: 8 and older
  • Format: Round robin (singles, doubles and mixed doubles)
  • Proceeds: Benefit Daviess Community Hospital Foundation programs supporting patient care and community health

Tournament format and divisions

The DCH Foundation Pickleball Tournament is designed to be competitive, fun and welcoming for a wide range of players.

  • Friday: Singles matches
  • Saturday: Men’s and women’s doubles
  • Saturday night: Youth open-age division
  • Sunday: Mixed doubles

Age divisions for youth players include:

  • 8–11
  • 12–15
  • 16–18

All participants are guaranteed a minimum of four games, and first-, second- and third-place awards will be given in each bracket by skill level. A signed parent or guardian waiver is required for all youth participants.

Honoring the legacy of Dr. Suresh Lohano

The tournament is held in memory of Suresh Lohano, MD, who served as a physician at Daviess Community Hospital for many years. Dr. Lohano was known for his compassion, clinical excellence and leadership, and he was deeply committed to improving the health of others—both through medicine and by encouraging active lifestyles and meaningful relationships.

His sudden passing in 2024 left a lasting impact on his patients, colleagues and the broader region. This event celebrates his life and the way he cared for people by bringing the community together around movement, connection and shared purpose.
