Grab your saddle shoes and come hungry—Daviess Community Hospital is hosting a 1950s-themed “Sock Hop” Lunch on Thursday, August 21 from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the DCH Cafeteria!
This fun, throwback event features a classic diner-style menu:
🍔 Burgers
🌭 Coneys
🍟 Fries
🍨 Ice Cream
🍿 Popcorn
🥤 Root Beer Floats
There’ll be retro music, festive décor, and maybe a surprise or two—no poodle skirt required, but definitely encouraged!
“We love creating opportunities for staff, patients, and visitors to come together and enjoy something special,” said Rebecca Vest, CDM, CFPP, Food Service Director at DCH. “This Sock Hop is all about great food, fun atmosphere, and a little nostalgia to brighten everyone’s day.”
The fun doesn’t stop there! The DCH Cafeteria will be hosting themed days each month throughout the rest of 2025. From tropical treats in September to holiday cheer in December, there’s always something new to enjoy.
