Start your fall with a quick health reset. On Friday, Sept. 19, 7–11 a.m., Daviess Community Hospital will host the Community Health Fair at the Simon J. Graber Complex in Odon. It’s an easy way to complete routine checks, ask questions and connect with local health resources—at prices designed to fit a family budget.

Low‑cost screenings and vaccines
Simple Spirometry – $15 (helps identify early lung disease; results within minutes)
PSA (prostate cancer) screening – $17 (men 50+)
Hemoglobin A1C – $17 (measures your blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months)
Electrocardiogram (EKG) – $25 (age 18+; performed and interpreted on‑site by Cardiologist Dr. Ethan Oates)
Foot Clinic (toenail trim & file) – $25 (appointment required; call 812‑254‑9324)
Flu shots – $25 (regular) • $70 (high‑dose)
Chem16 & Total Cholesterol Panel – $44 (fast 8 hours)
Calcium Heart Scan – $49 (appointment required; call 812‑254‑9324) Measures the amount of calcified plaque in your heart’s arteries.
Pap Smear – $50 (women ages 21–65 without hysterectomy; appointment required)
Mammography with Tomography (DBT) – $125 (appointment required; additional radiology reading bill from our Radiology Partners)
Mammography with Pap Smear – $175 (appointment required; additional radiology reading bill from our Radiology Partners)
Genetic screening
Unity Screen – no charge for those who qualify. A simple blood test to see if parents carry common inherited conditions that could affect a baby’s health.
Plain Insight Panel (PIP) Screening – $450 per couple. Expanded carrier screening designed for Plain communities; includes processing, collection, shipping and genetic counseling. PIP will not be conducted on‑site; appointments will be scheduled for a later date.
