About Owen

Owen Edwards, CHW, is a Peer Recovery Specialist with Daviess Community Hospital’s Peer Recovery Services, where he provides compassionate, community-rooted support for individuals navigating substance use disorder (SUD).

As a Certified Community Health Worker, Owen brings a people-first approach to his work, offering guidance, resources, and encouragement to those at all stages of recovery. Based in Washington, Indiana, he is deeply committed to serving his local community and walking alongside individuals as they work toward healing and hope.

In addition to working with adults, Owen is actively engaged in supporting youth ages 12 and older—particularly those in the Department of Child Services (DCS) system or struggling with early substance use. Youth can access Peer Recovery Services by referral through a caregiver, case manager, or simply by reaching out directly.

Owen is especially passionate about helping others break free from the cycle of addiction and find their purpose beyond it. His approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity, meeting people where they are and helping them access personalized recovery plans, treatment referrals, and long-term support through DCH’s integrated Peer Recovery Services.

Outside of his professional role, Owen is a proud husband to Kaylee and father to two children, Kora and Luca. His dedication to his family fuels his passion for making a difference in the lives of others—especially those who may not yet believe that recovery is possible.
