About Ethan
Ethan Cooper, CPRC, is a Peer Recovery Specialist with Daviess Community Hospital’s Peer Recovery Services, where he supports individuals navigating substance use disorder (SUD) by offering compassionate, experienced-based guidance and personalized recovery support.
A Certified Peer Recovery Coach through the Indiana Credentialing Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA), Cooper brings a deeply personal understanding of addiction and the recovery process. After spending more than a decade in active addiction, he now celebrates more than five years of long-term recovery. His firsthand knowledge of the challenges, setbacks, and victories of recovery allows him to walk alongside others with empathy, hope, and credibility.
Prior to joining DCH, Cooper held a wide range of roles—from entry-level positions to managing teams of more than a dozen staff members. His diverse background, including experience in manufacturing and logistics, has shaped him into a resilient and highly relatable coach. He has also been actively involved in the recovery community through volunteer work, including teaching Sunday School and serving at Lighthouse Recovery Center.
Cooper is passionate about showing others that a new life is possible. He believes in giving back, building people up, and helping every individual see the potential in themselves—even when they can’t yet see it for themselves.
