About Chonnie

Chonnie Cockroft, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner providing urgent care and primary care services at the Daviess Community Hospital Quick Care Clinic in Washington, Indiana. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan.

A native of Wisconsin, Chonnie moved to Indiana in 2015 and quickly became an active part of the local healthcare community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2012, graduating summa cum laude, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing with honors from Walden University in 2017. She went on to earn her post-master’s certificate from the University of Southern Indiana.

Chonnie brings more than two decades of nursing experience, including extensive work in emergency medicine and five years as a charge nurse in dialysis. Her background fostered a passion for emergency and urgent care medicine, where she focuses on prompt, compassionate treatment and helping patients achieve their best possible health outcomes.

As a family nurse practitioner, Chonnie can diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribe medications, manage ongoing health needs, and promote preventive care and wellness. She takes time to get to know each patient, learning their health history and collaborating on personalized plans of care tailored to their needs.

Chonnie resides in Vincennes, where she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes CrossFit training, hiking, and spending time on her hobby farm caring for a variety of animals. She also cherishes time with her family and friends.
