About Alexander

Dr. Mathew, a board-certified general surgeon, has provided services for Daviess
Community Hospital for over 10 years. He has over 30 years of general surgery experience, having practiced in Canada, as well as,
Bloomington, IN.

Dr. Mathew received his medical degree from the University of Kerala in India. He completed his internship at the Medical College Hospital, Alleppey, Kerala India, and his residency at The University of Toronto, Canada.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in the U.K., and Canada. Dr. Mathew is a member of the Indiana Medical Association and the credentialing committee of the Anthem Blue Cross.

Dr. Mathew is a board-certified general surgeon who performs multiple general and advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures, such as colon resections, hernia repair, and gallbladder
removals. He also performs
hemorrhoidectomies, thyroidectomies, skin cancer and skin lesion removals, breast
surgeries, EGDs, colonoscopies, and other general surgical procedures.

Dr. Mathew enjoys reading, classical music, and classic cars.
