
The Education and Professional Development Department of Daviess Community Hospital serves all team members of Daviess Community Hospital and provides the community with educational opportunities. The goal of the Professional Development Department is to provide educational opportunities for all team members to facilitate growth in their chosen field. Strengthening and expanding the knowledge base of our team members supports the mission and vision statements of Daviess Community Hospital to provide excellent medical care and be the community’s choice in Healthcare.
The educators from Daviess Community Hospital are proud to provide teammates with Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (AMLS) and First On The Scene Care (FOTS).
Daviess Community Hospital also offers our community Heartsaver, BLS and First Aid courses.

with us, pursuing a possible nonclinical internship, or shadowing within
one of our departments, our staff is happy to have you here. Students
requesting an internship or shadowing opportunity with Daviess Community

Student Shadow Onboarding Forms
If you are planning to complete rotation hours in a patient care setting you must complete the Clinical Student Onboarding Packet. An authorized representative of your educational institution must complete the Records Acknowledgement signing off that all our requirements have been met. The packet and the acknowledgement must be complete and received no later than 3 weeks prior to your rotation start date.
