Financial Assistance Program

At Daviess Community Hospital, we understand that the cost of healthcare can be overwhelming—especially for those without insurance or with limited income. That’s why we offer a Financial Assistance Program to help eligible patients access the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our program provides full or partial financial relief for medically necessary services based on family size, income level, and residency. If you or someone you know is struggling to pay for care, we encourage you to apply.

Need Help with the Application?

Our Patient Financial Services team is available to assist you with completing the application. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible after you receive services. Be sure to include all required documents, such as:

  • Proof of household income
  • Identification
  • Any documentation related to denied state or federal assistance

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for financial assistance, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Residency: Live in Daviess, Martin, or Pike counties
  • Income: Have limited or no household income
  • Insurance status: Be uninsured or underinsured
  • Medical assistance status:
    • Must apply for state/federal assistance programs (such as Medicaid) before applying for DCH assistance
    • If denied or if coverage is not backdated, the patient may still be eligible
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Compliance: Patients who were eligible for third-party coverage but did not comply with that payer's terms may not be eligible for financial assistance

Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified of the determination in writing.
