
At Daviess Community Hospital’s CORE Center, we offer paraffin therapy as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation approach for patients experiencing joint pain, stiffness, and decreased range of motion—especially in the hands and wrists.
This warm, wax-based treatment provides a safe, soothing way to reduce discomfort, increase circulation, and relax tight muscles and joints. It’s an excellent addition to many hand therapy and rehabilitation plans, particularly for patients with arthritis, injury-related stiffness, or post-surgical healing needs.

Paraffin therapy uses a specially designed wax bath to deliver moist, penetrating heat to the hands or wrists. The wax is warmed to a therapeutic temperature and applied in layers to the affected area, allowing heat to deeply penetrate the soft tissues and joints.
