The Daviess Community Hospital health system provides cutting-edge imaging services designed for precision, efficiency, and patient comfort. Whether you need routine diagnostic imaging or advanced medical scans, our team of board-certified radiologists and registered technologists ensures you receive the highest quality of care.

Our $1.7 million renovation has modernized our hospital's Radiology Department, improving patient flow, enhancing comfort, and upgrading our technology. From our state-of-the-art Magnetom Altea 1.5T MRI to advanced ultrasound and echocardiography (ECHO) services, we are committed to delivering faster results, improved imaging quality, and a better patient experience.


Comprehensive Imaging Services

Daviess Community Hospital offers a full spectrum of imaging services, ensuring precise diagnostics for a wide range of medical conditions.

1. Radiology (Diagnostic X-ray Services)

  • Used to detect fractures, infections, lung conditions, and more
  • Fast, painless, and noninvasive
  • Often the first imaging step in emergency and outpatient care
  • Interpreted by our board-certified radiologists
  • Available at Daviess Community Hospital, CORE Center, and Quick Care Clinic
  • Available 24/7 to support Emergency Department and inpatient care

2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

  • Featuring the Magnetom Altea 1.5T MRI for high-resolution images, reduced scan times, and enhanced patient comfort.
  • Accommodates patients up to 550 lbs. with a wider bore to minimize claustrophobia.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Appointment times may vary due to team availability)

3. Computed Tomography (CT)

  • Advanced CT imaging provides highly detailed diagnostic scans for a variety of conditions, including lung, cardiac, and abdominal imaging.
  • Low-Dose CT Lung Screening is available for high-risk individuals to detect lung cancer in its earliest stages. Learn more about Lung Cancer Screening →
  • We also offer the Calcium Heart Scan, which is a quick, painless CT scan that measures the amount of calcified (hardened) plaque inside your heart's arteries. Learn more about Calcium Heart Scan →
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Appointment times may vary due to team availability)

4. Mammography

  • Genius™ 3D Mammography™ for earlier breast cancer detection and osteoporosis evaluation.
  • Hours: (Appointment times may vary due to team availability)
    • Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • Tuesday: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • Thursday: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
    • 1st Friday: 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

5. Bone Densitometry (DEXA Scan)

  • Measures bone mineral density to assess osteoporosis risk and monitor bone health.
  • Recommended for individuals at risk of osteoporosis or bone fractures.
  • Hours: Same as Mammography services.

6. Nuclear Medicine

  • Advanced molecular imaging to diagnose and treat various conditions.
  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Appointment times may vary due to team availability)

7. PET/CT Imaging

  • High-resolution positron emission tomography (PET) imaging for cancer and other diagnostic needs.
  • Call for availability.

8. Ultrasound

  • Comprehensive imaging for internal organs, soft tissues, and vascular health.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Appointment times may vary due to team availability)

9. Echocardiography (ECHO)

  • Advanced ultrasound of the heart, including pediatric and transesophageal imaging.
  • Performed by experienced cardiac imaging specialists for detailed heart evaluations.
  • Also available: the $300 Limited Echocardiogram screening—a targeted heart and aorta scan recommended for patients with a family history of aneurysms. Learn more →
