WE CARE Awards

Recognizing the teammates who live our values—every day

The WE CARE Awards at Daviess Community Hospital honor team members who consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism. These awards spotlight colleagues whose actions strengthen care for patients and families and support coworkers across our hospital and clinics in Washington, Indiana, and surrounding communities.

What “WE CARE” means at DCH

Our WE CARE values guide how we serve patients, families, coworkers, and our community:

  • Willing AttitudeI will make a conscious decision to have a positive, willing, and flexible attitude each day.
  • Excellence in Customer ServiceI will go above and beyond for everyone.
  • CommunicationI will communicate effectively in a respectful and timely manner.
  • AccountabilityI will commit to maintaining a safe, secure, and trusting environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • RespectI will respect all individuals.
  • Embrace CommitmentI will commit to the Daviess Community Hospital Mission and Vision to be this community’s choice in healthcare.

These values aren’t slogans—they’re behaviors you can see: a reassuring update at the bedside, an extra step to coordinate care, a teammate staying late to help, or a calm voice that brings clarity to a complex moment.

When awards are presented

WE CARE Awards are presented annually in May during our Hospital Week celebration.
