Nominate a Pillar

Across the Daviess Community Hospital health system in Washington, Indiana, patients, families, and coworkers rely on teammates who show up with skill, compassion, and commitment. We call these colleagues Pillars—people who uphold and strengthen our mission.

Beginning in 2026, the Pillar Award will be presented quarterly to recognize these everyday difference-makers:

• April (January–March)
• July (April–June)
• October (July–September)
• January (October–December)

Who can be nominated?

All DCH staff except licensed nurses (nurses are recognized through the DAISY Award). Eligible roles include clinical and nonclinical teammates across the hospital and clinics—imaging, lab, rehab, respiratory, EVS/housekeeping, dietary, registration, pharmacy, radiology, materials, transport, facilities, IT, finance, HR, and more.

Who can nominate?

Everyone. Patients, families, community members, and DCH staff can nominate a Pillar any time here.
