Because of you, Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana raised $2,183 at this year’s Oncology Cookout to support the DCH Oncology Patient Assistance Fund. Approximately 170 teammates, families, and community members gathered on Wednesday, Aug. 13, in the hospital cafeteria for a donation-based lunch—and to stand with neighbors facing cancer.
“On the tough days, support like this reminds our patients they’re not alone,” said Sharon Mead, RN, OCN, ONN-CG, oncology nurse navigator. “Every dollar helps remove a barrier to care.”
What the Fund Supports
Transportation to chemotherapy, radiation, and appointments
Lodging during out-of-area treatment
Medications & supplies essential to care plans
Nutrition support to help patients heal
Powered by Volunteers and Community Partners
