Daviess Community Hospital Welcomes New CEO, Justin Harris, MSHA, MBA, FACHE

Daviess Community Hospital is proud to announce the appointment of Justin Harris, MSHA, MBA, FACHE, as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Harris will officially join Daviess Community Hospital on July 1, bringing extensive healthcare leadership experience, a deep commitment to rural healthcare excellence, and a passion for community-focused care.

Justin Harris joins DCH with a proven track record of leadership across the Southeast and Indiana. Most recently, he served in a senior leadership role for a large physician-owned surgical group based in Evansville, where he oversaw the expansion to more than 26 surgeons and 20 mid-level providers, serving metro and rural hospitals across Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Prior to that, Harris served as CEO and CFO of a $70 million musculoskeletal organization with multiple outpatient clinics and a surgery center. He also held executive roles in both for-profit and not-for-profit rural hospitals, consistently advancing operational performance, physician engagement, and access to high-quality care. His broad experience across different healthcare models has prepared him to lead Daviess Community Hospital into an exciting new chapter of growth and service excellence.

Harris holds a Master of Science in Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, home to the nation’s top-ranked program for healthcare administration. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the boards of the Indiana Medical Group Management Association and the Indiana Physicians Health Alliance. He is also an active member of the Indiana Rural Health Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Justin Harris shared his excitement about joining DCH and becoming part of the Washington community. He is passionate about building strong relationships with DCH staff, providers, and community partners, and looks forward to advancing healthcare services that meet the needs of patients across Daviess County and the surrounding region.
