About Tracy

Tracy Powell, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is an emergency medicine provider at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. With more than two decades of progressively earned clinical, leadership, and didactic experience, she has worked across medical-surgical units, intensive care, emergency departments, and nursing administration.

Her career includes serving as a Nursing Supervisor at Indiana University Healthcare, leading quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing patient admissions. She has also held critical care and medical-surgical nursing roles in multiple hospitals, providing direct patient care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and promoting optimal outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Tracy earned her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2015, following a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She began her nursing education with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Vincennes University and a Licensed Practical Nurse certification from Indiana Vocational Technical College.

She holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and PICC line insertion, among others. Tracy is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients in southwestern Indiana.
