About Taryn

Taryn Goeppner, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner providing hospitalist care at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. With more than a decade of experience in acute care nursing and procedural settings, she brings a calm, knowledgeable presence to patients during their hospital stay.

Taryn earned her Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner from Western Governors University, where she completed clinical rotations in urgent care, cardiology, oncology, and primary care. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Taryn worked extensively as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, serving in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ICU, telemetry, and med-surg units. Her career also includes experience in hospice and rehabilitation nursing, where she honed her patient-centered approach and communication skills.

She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), and holds licensure through the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Taryn is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and actively contributes to her local community, including service with the Memorial Hospital Nursing Honor Guard and participation in community volunteer efforts.

Taryn is passionate about delivering attentive, patient-centered care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure every patient receives safe, timely, and personalized treatment.

When she’s not at the hospital, Taryn enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Kyle and their son, Benjamin. You’ll often find her cheering on her son during football or baseball season, or taking care of her two German Shorthaired Pointers, Snickers and Hazel.
