Sara Niehoff, M.A., CCC-SLP, COHC, is a speech-language pathologist at the CORE Center at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana, where she has served patients since February 2019 . She provides speech-language therapy services for patients across the lifespan, from infants to geriatric populations, with a focus on improving communication, cognition and swallowing to enhance overall quality of life.
Sara earned her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Ball State University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was named to the Dean’s List during her undergraduate studies.
Sara evaluates and treats a wide range of speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders, including dysarthria, dysphagia, aphasia, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), expressive and receptive language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism and prematurity-related conditions.

Sara lives in Montgomery, Indiana, and is building a home in Jasper with her husband and their three daughters, with a fourth child expected in July. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her children and being outdoors.
She chose a career in speech-language pathology because of the direct impact it has on essential aspects of life. “We help people with communication, thinking and eating,” she said. “Those are things that are most important to quality of life, and I love helping people get that back.”
At the CORE Center at Daviess Community Hospital, Sara provides patient-centered, evidence-based care to individuals and families throughout Daviess County and surrounding communities, helping patients regain independence and return to meaningful daily activities.
