About Maya

Dr. Maya J. Dominique is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. With a strong foundation in both clinical practice and public health, Dr. Dominique is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to women at every stage of life.

Dr. Dominique holds a Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, where she also served as Chief of Education.

In addition to her extensive clinical training, Dr. Dominique has a deep commitment to community-based care and health equity. She currently serves as Executive Director of Prenatal Well, a nonprofit focused on improving prenatal health outcomes, and has been involved in numerous education and mentorship programs for underserved communities.

Her interests include routine and high-risk obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, adolescent health, and preventive care. Dr. Dominique’s approach blends evidence-based medicine with personalized patient engagement, ensuring each individual feels seen, heard, and empowered in their healthcare journey.

She has served in clinical roles across Indiana and Illinois, including at NorthShore Health Center, Major Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Saint Joseph Hospital. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
