About Kyla
Kyla Bennett, MOT, OTR, is a skilled occupational therapist with more than a decade of experience improving the lives of patients across a wide range of settings. She holds a Master of Occupational Therapy and a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from the University of Evansville.
Bennett has been affiliated with Daviess Community Hospital for more than 10 years and has served as a full-time occupational therapist since 2020. She divides her time between inpatient care on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Acute Care ICU, and Med/Surg floor, and outpatient therapy at the CORE Center. In addition to providing specialized rehabilitation for various diagnoses, she conducts home assessments for acute rehab patients to ensure a safe return home and recommends necessary resources.
Bennett's clinical background includes extensive experience in skilled nursing facilities, home health care, and wheelchair fitting and modifications.
Originally from Ferdinand, Indiana, she has called Washington home for the past decade, where she lives with her husband, AJ, their two children, Evan and Lexi, and their toy Yorkie, Cooper. She is a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.
