Kiran Burla, MD, FACP, FAAP, CMD, is a dual board‑certified hospitalist in internal medicine and pediatrics at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a Certified Medical Director (CMD) in post‑acute and long‑term care, Dr. Burla provides coordinated inpatient care for adults, children, and newborns—from admission through discharge.

Trained at Armed Forces Medical College and the Brody School of Medicine (residency), Dr. Burla manages acute and complex conditions, leads evidence‑based treatment plans, and partners closely with nursing, case management, respiratory therapy, and specialty teams. His clinical interests include COPD, heart failure (CHF), and asthma, with additional experience in chronic care management and transitions to post‑acute or long‑term settings. He is known for clear communication with patients and families and for ensuring safe, timely handoffs back to community clinicians.
