About Chassie

Chassie Umfleet, CPRC, serves as a Peer Recovery Specialist with the Peer Recovery Services team at Daviess Community Hospital, where she provides compassionate, lived-experience-based support for individuals struggling with substance use disorder (SUD).

A Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC), Umfleet brings both personal insight and professional training to her role. She is dedicated to helping patients develop individualized recovery plans, navigate complex systems of care, and connect with vital resources such as treatment, housing, and employment support. Her approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a deep commitment to walking beside those on their recovery journey—not ahead or behind them, but alongside them.

Prior to joining DCH, Umfleet worked in direct care roles as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Direct Support Professional, serving patients and individuals with disabilities across southern Indiana. Her diverse background in healthcare, human services, and peer recovery coaching has shaped her into a responsive, resourceful, and relationship-driven care provider.

Umfleet studied Ministry and Leadership at Grace College and currently holds active certifications in peer recovery coaching, CPR, CPI, and nursing assistance. She is passionate about empowering others to reclaim their lives and reminding each person she works with that recovery is possible—and they are never alone.
