About Amy

Amy Waggner, FNP-C, MSN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than two decades of clinical experience, the majority of which has been devoted to pediatric care. Amy is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is known for her gentle, sincere approach to partnering with families at Grand Avenue Pediatrics and throughout the Daviess Community Hospital health system.

A native of southern Indiana, Amy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana in 2002, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same university in 1999, and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Vincennes University in 1997. Since 2002, she has served in key roles across the Daviess Community Hospital system, including Grand Avenue Pediatrics, the DCH Medical Clinic, and Quick Care Clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Amy is a dedicated nursing instructor at Indiana Wesleyan University, helping to guide the next generation of nurses.

Amy’s experience includes providing primary and acute care for children, supporting behavioral and developmental needs, and navigating families through well visits, chronic illness, and preventive care. She finds working with children incredibly rewarding, sharing: “It means the world to me to witness children grow and become productive young adults. There is no greater compliment than when a former patient brings their own children to see me.” Amy believes her role is to help families navigate the ever-changing world of healthcare with compassion and support, always striving to exceed expectations.

Beyond her clinical and academic work, Amy is active in professional and community organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She is passionate about making a difference for children and families in Daviess County and the surrounding communities.
