About Allison

Allison Wininger, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. She provides acute care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring timely evaluation, treatment, and coordination of care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Allison earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) with a minor in Chemistry from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Before joining DCH, Allison worked as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, where she gained extensive experience in managing complex cases, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver comprehensive emergency care.

Her prior clinical background also includes experience as a Patient Care Technician at Indiana University Health Hospital and as a Phlebotomist and Administrative Assistant at the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Bloomington, Indiana.

Allison is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). She is an active member of both the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants.

Allison is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care and is proud to serve the community close to home as part of the DCH Emergency Medicine team.
