About Dennis
Dr. Atienza has been an Obstetrician Gynecologist since 2000. Before coming to Washington, Dr. Atienza had practiced both in Robinson, and Lawrenceville Illinois. Raised in Illinois, he is a graduate of Southern Illinois University. Dr. Atienza went to medical school at Des Moines University, with special interests in Prevention and Wellness. He completed his OB/GYN residency through Michigan State University at Mercy General Health Partners, and then served on active duty as an OB/GYN in the U.S. Navy Medical Corp for 5 1/2 years, before finally settling back to the Southern Indiana area. Dr. Atienza is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Atienza and his wife, Kathi, have been married since 1993. They have two adult daughters, Cara and Lauren. They enjoy living in this part of the Midwest and being a part of the community and their church. His interests include shooting sports & firearms training, camping, and managing the family’s free range chicken flock.
