Alicia Fields, DNP, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner
who currently works at the Diabetes & Endocrinology Clinic as well
as the Quick Care Clinic. Alicia started at Daviess Community Hospital
as a high school intern and has been employed by Daviess Community Hospital
her entire career in nursing having worked in various areas including
medical/surgical, pediatrics, and neurology prior to her current roles.
Alicia obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Vincennes University,
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing also from Vincennes University, Master’s
Degree in Nursing with a focus on primary care nursing from Saint Joseph’s
College of Maine, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Frontier
Nursing University. Alicia’s passion for excellence led her to Duke
University where she is pursuing a specialty certificate in endocrinology
at the first program of its kind in the United States for nurse practitioners.
Alicia plans to take the exam to become board certified in advanced diabetes
management upon completion of this program.
Alicia is a member of numerous professional organizations at both the national
and local level including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners,
American Nurses Association, Indiana State Nurses Association, Coalition
of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana, Sigma Theta Tau International
Honor Society of Nursing, Endocrine Nurses Society, and is an Allied Healthcare
Professional Subscriber to the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoys being musical by singing and playing piano.
She also finds great joy in her yoga and meditation practice and will
become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) in early 2019.
Alicia is a lifelong resident of Daviess County and resides in Washington, Indiana.
