NEW Primary Care Clinic on Memorial Ave in Washington

– Daviess Community Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of the “DCH Primary Care Clinic” on Memorial Avenue in Washington. Through efforts to increase the number of health care providers in the area, Dr. Kiran Burla has been hired to provide medical care for patients of all ages.

“The location is ideal,” said Tracy Conroy, CEO at Daviess Community Hospital. “This clinic is a great fit on the DCH campus with easy access to specialists, lab and imaging services right across the street.”

Dr. Burla is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, which enables him to care for patients of all ages and with various conditions. Dr. Burla joined the staff at Daviess Community Hospital in 2012 as a Hospitalist and will continue to provide pediatric hospitalist coverage for the hospital inpatient units.

Dr. Burla earned his MD from Armed Forces Medical College in India. He completed internship and residency programs at Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is skilled to provide specialized care to patients of all ages.

In 2017, Dr. Burla was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the society of internists. The distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care.
