CORE Center hosts physicals, gives back to Washington Schools

On May 24, the new CORE Center hosted sports physicals for Washington Community School student athletes grades K-12. Several Daviess Community Hospital physicians, advanced providers, athletic trainers and therapists were onsite to evaluate the athletes. They included Marcus Thorne, MD, Norma Krelein, MD, Lindsey Sell, PA-C, ATC, Allison Kreiger, NP-C, and Debra Ramsey, NP-C. Prior to seeing the medical provider the student athletes were seen by certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.

All of the proceeds generated were donated back to the Hatchet athletic programs.

“We are honored to provide this service to the student athletes of Washington Community Schools. We take great pride in keeping our young athletes healthy and safe in sports. It is with distinct pleasure we donate all profits back to the school to benefit current and future students. We look forward to continue to provide this service to Washington Community Schools,” said Scott Sell, MS, ATC, director of athletic training, Daviess Community Hospital.
