Where:
Report to the Admitting department. You should arrive at least 20 minutes before your appointment time in order to be registered. Admitting staff will direct you to Radiology.
Purpose :
Detection and localization of osteomyelitis and acute abscesses.
Preparation:
Procedure:
Your blood will be drawn and processed. Approximately 3 ½ hours later, you will return to the department and blood is re-injected in I.V. After re-injection, 3 hours later, you return for imaging which takes 30-45 minutes, 24 hour imaging is rarely indicated.
