Nancy Nickell, a staff member of the hospital’s Education Department, has been named Daviess Community Hospital’s Difference Maker of the Month.
Nickell, a 6-year veteran of the hospital’s staff from Washington, was honored for making a difference to the Vincennes University Clinical Students who train at DCH. According to Sharon Arnold, Vincennes University Instructor who nominated Nickell for the award, adjusting quickly to meeting the group’s needs made an impact on the new students. “Nancy Nickell made a difference by being completely flexible in accommodating the VU Nursing students for their orientation. We had our groups increasing in numbers, coming in at 7:30, 8:00, and some even later. You made the needed changes, all the while smiling!” | |
