What is our commitment?

Daviess Community Hospital is committed to improving the health of the people who live in our communities by providing excellent medical care, ensuring access to that care, teaching healthy lifestyles, and working with local agencies to meet community health needs.

Purpose

Why do we exist?

Daviess Community Hospital exists to provide comprehensive, high-quality health care, appropriate to the needs of our community in a compassionate and caring manner. The hospital acknowledges the importance of preventive medicine and focuses on the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for all.

Every department of the hospital contributes an invaluable service toward the provision of high-quality healthcare from the organization as a whole. Each department exists for a specific purpose, yet no department exists solely on its own. We are all interdependent upon each other.

How do we want to act along the way?

Daviess Community Hospital recognizes the contribution of the Board of Governors, Medical Staff, employees, and volunteers with each and every person playing an important role in the hospital’s ability to provide quality health care. All information both written and otherwise, about patients and their care is confidential, and must only be communicated to persons necessarily concerned with such information in the course of care or service to individual patients. All other hospital business is communicated in accordance with hospital policy and general ethical considerations.

An employee’s work life is expected to be conducted in a manner that is not derogatory to the institution or to other employees.
