| Daviess Community Hospital has appointed Debbie Swartzentruber, MSN, RN, Nurse Practitioner to the Medical Staff. She provides psychiatric care for patients of the hospital’s Transitions Behavioral Health Service and works in association with Linda Callaghan, MD, Transitions Psychiatrist.
As a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Swartzentruber cares for patients who have psychiatric disorders and medical mental conditions. She provides psychosocial and physical assessments and treatment plans for outpatients through the hospital’s Transitions Behavioral Health Services.
Swartzentruber earned a Master of Science in Nursing with specialization as a Mental Health Practitioner from the University of Missouri following nursing degrees at both Indiana University and Vincennes University. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Swartzentruber and husband, Dale, live in rural Montgomery and have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
