Louis Bremer Named Interim CEO

Louis H. Bremer, Jr. has been named Interim CEO at Daviess Community Hospital, following this week’s departure of Jim Heckert.
Bremer is a native of Houston, Texas. He comes to the hospital from Flemingsburg, Kentucky where he served as Interim CEO for Fleming County Hospital, a 52-bed facility. He has held a variety of positions as CEO, including small hospitals and large healthcare systems and not-for-profit, for-profit, public and teaching hospitals.
He earned a BS degree in Biology from Baylor University and a MS degree in Heathcare Administration from Texas Woman’s University. He completed the Premier Healthcare Executive Fellowship Program in Management at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
Bremer and his wife, Angela, have two grown children. He has been involved in numerous civic and professional activities, including Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and United Way. Additionally he has been active in professional associations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Hospital Association, and state hospital associations in Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida.
