| Jerry Beck, a member of Daviess Community Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary team, was recently named as DCH Difference Maker of the Month.
Beck, a 20-year member of the hospital’s staff and a resident of Elnora, was recognized by a patient’s family for the difference-making care he delivered in the hospital’s Emergency Department.
Beck helped comfort a patient on a portable ventilator while they were being transferred to another facility via air ambulance. According to the patient’s wife, Beck provided comfort during the transfer from DCH to the helicopter. “He held my husband’s life in his hands on a portable ventilator en route to (the) Air Evac (helicopter). He represents the quality and excellence of the hospital staff. “
For his efforts, Gary Kendrick, CEO presented Beck with a certificate from the customer service team. Beck’s photo and story will also be featured on the DCH Difference Maker sign in the hospital’s lobby. |  |
