| DCH Again Named One of Top Indiana Hospitals |
| | | |
For the second year, Daviess Community Hospital is one of the top-rated hospitals in the state, according to the November issue of Indiana Business magazine.
“Patient care comes first with us,” said Jim Heckert, CEO. “The commitment of our physicians and staff to putting patients first and delivering quality health care every day is key to this ranking. It is tribute to their efforts to be ranked so highly.”
According to the Indiana Business magazine article, a Colorado-based firm called HealthGrades has collected data from more than 70 independent public and private sources and translates it into easily understandable, objective report card ratings on providers. Annually, HealthGrades announces the hospitals that are in the top 10 percent nationally in specialty areas. In the November article, Indiana Business magazine lists the Indiana facilities identified by HealthGrades.
“Rankings such as these are another way for people to measure quality,” said Jim Heckert, CEO. “At DCH, we continuously measure outcomes and processes, make adjustments, and re-evaluate, so that our patients receive the best care possible. They deserve that.”
“The ranking by Indiana Business magazine, for the second straight year, just confirms what we already know about DCH,” said Charles Selby, Executive Director of the Daviess County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau. “Our hospital, right here in Daviess County, is one of the best in the state.”
“We are very pleased the hospital is ranked so highly among all the hospitals in the state,” said Brenda Sobecki, President of the hospital’s Board of Governors. “This makes the “patients first” commitment of the entire hospital— employees, doctors, administrators, and board members—something that the entire community can take great pride in.” | |
