Exceeding Patient Expectations Awarded

Daviess Community Hospital has announced that the hospital recently was awarded Avatar International’s Exceeding Patient Expectations Award 2008.

In making the announcement, David Medvedeff, PharmD, MBA, CEO of Avatar said, “The hallmark of exceptional service to patients is to consistently meet or exceed their expectations — not always an easy task. Daviess Community Hospital has demonstrated that it exceeds its patients’ expectations in a tangible and measurable manner. As a winner of Avatar’s Exceeding Patient Expectations Award, I congratulate DCH for its continued and impressive efforts to put patients first.”

In accepting the award, Gary G. Kendrick, CEO of Daviess Community Hospital said, “The award recognizes the work of our hospital and clinic staffs in making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Their efforts and the results from our patient surveys were measured and compared to what our patients expect from their health care provider. We consistently exceeded the expectations of the patients we served and those measurements resulted in this award.”

“At DCH, we remain committed to providing the type of care that exceeds our patients’ expectations. We are focused on making a difference in their lives,” said Kendrick.

Daviess Community Hospital operates an 80-bed hospital in Washington that includes acute care, OB, intensive care, acute rehabilitation, and behavioral health.
