As a hospitalist, Dr. Burla provides medical care for hospitalized patients.  With specialized training, hospitalists can provide effective and cost-effective care for patients who are acutely ill. 

Dr. Burla earned his MD from Armed Forces Medical College in India.  He completed internship and residency programs at Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.  He is board eligible in both internal medicine and pediatrics and is skilled to provide specialized care to patients of all ages.  

 With Dr. Burla’s arrival, the hospital now has three physicians who provide hospitalist services.  In addition to Dr. Burla, Suresh Lohano, MD and Vasdev Lohano, MD serve as hospitalists at DCH.
