Dr. John Clayton, General Surgeon has been selected as Daviess Community Hospital’s Difference Maker of the Year.
In a ceremony on December 20th, hospital CEO, John Rossfeld, made the presentation in front of a gathering of hospital employees, physicians, and Board members, along with Dr. Clayton’s office staff and wife, Paula.
“We are pleased to present this award to Dr. Clayton,” said Rossfeld. “The entire hospital family appreciates his difference-making efforts that make this hospital the place where our community can not only receive high quality, professional care but where they can expect the extras that personalize their experience.”
Dr. Clayton received two different nominations for his difference-making care—one from the hospital’s Emergency Department staff and the other from Dr. Jacqueline Graber, DCH Anesthesiologist.
The hospital’s Difference Maker program recognizes extraordinary care provided by employees, physicians, and volunteers. Nominations are accepted from patients as well as fellow team members. The top monthly difference- making story and the best difference-making story of the year are selected by employee vote.
