Call Now to Schedule Your Screening Mammogram
In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Daviess Community Hospital’s Women’s Imaging Service is providing digital screening mammograms at a reduced rate to women. For women over 39, a screening mammogram is one of the best ways to detect breast cancer.
The reduced rate for the exams includes the radiologist’s reading fees. Patients are required to have a physician order for the examination.
The American College of Radiology, the American Cancer Society, and the American Medical Women’s Association as well as other national women’s groups support annual mammography screening beginning by age 40. These groups also recommend annually clinical breast examinations starting at age 40. The earlier that breast cancer is detected, the better the chances for improved results.
