Daviess Community Hospital’s Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group is hosting a benefit turkey dinner and angel auction on Saturday, October 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the hospital. The cost of the meal is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds benefit the local program, which helps caregivers and parents who have experienced the devastation of a baby’s death due to early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life.
The local Share group is part of a national organization first started in the 1970’s to serve those whose lives were touched by the tragic death of a baby. People in the informal groups support others who are going through the same pain. The group also offers resources on perinatal bereavement, special memorial services, and celebrations of remembrance.
