Members of the Daviess Community Hospital Auxiliary attended the Indiana Hospital Auxiliaries Association 62nd Annual Convention held in Indianapolis October 14 through 16.
The 3-day convention highlighted efforts across the state of Indiana and was based on the theme, “volunteers leave their fingerprints on the lives of others.” At the opening banquet, Margaret Colbert, DCH Auxiliary President, led hospital introductions for those attending. Ruby Miller, DCH Auxiliary member and chairperson of the southwest area, presented a report from southwest area hospital auxiliaries, including Daviess Community Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Deaconess, Saint Mary’s, and Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Speakers included Doug Leonard, President of the Indiana Hospital Association and Patty Spitler, former WISH-TV personality who suffers from Meniere’s disease, a progressive inner ear condition that affects both balance and hearing.
Daviess Community Hospital, Daviess County’s second largest employer, was organized in 1913 and provides a broad spectrum of quality healthcare services for people living in Daviess and surrounding counties in southwestern Indiana.
