Where:
You should report to the Admitting Office (main hospital entrance) 20 minutes prior to your appointment time. Admitting will direct you to Radiology.
Purpose :
To evaluate orthopedic injuries, fractures, tumors, or unexplained bone pain.
Preparation:
Please bring a completed history sheet with you to the exam .
Procedure:
A small injection will be made into your arm. Images can be taken over your entire body or sometimes only a certain part may be studied. The material injected into your vein will need to circulate in your body for about 3 hours prior to scanning. The actual scan will take about 1 hour. You may eat or drink anything between the injection and your scan. It is important that you drink a lot of fluids during this time.
After Care:
You may resume your normal life style.
