At a steak lunch on May 26th at Daviess Community Hospital, seventy-one employees were recognized for providing over 875 years of continuous service to the facility.
Gary G. Kendrick, CEO said continuous service by employees helps the hospital deliver professional medical care that is both efficient and reliable. “You share valuable skills including the comfort of familiarity and experience to the patients, physicians, and other employees at DCH,” said Kendrick.
He said that having a seasoned staff is good for patients and the entire hospital family including employees who are newly hired. “Your experience makes it easier for a new employee to join the team,” Kendrick said. “As one who is relatively new to the hospital, I can’t thank you enough for sharing those skills and your experience with both the hospital and with me. You have made my first months here at DCH go very smoothly.”
